Prior to joining DSCC in 2020, he was Senior Product Line Manager at Plessey Semiconductors where he managed customer projects integrating MicroLED displays into AR/VR headsets.

Larson-Green oversees Magic Leap’s hardware, software, and product teams, and is responsible for the vision and execution of the company’s enterprise augmented reality technology platform.

Panelists include executives from companies that have created innovative products for use in advanced AR/VR/MR systems. The panel will discuss how the future of XR may evolve and how their technology and products can enhance or enable existing and future XR applications, including what barriers need to be overcome to continue the rapid growth of targeted XR markets.

Jonas earned his PhD in Physics from the Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology in 2018. He is the founder and CEO of VitreaLab, a company in Vienna, Austria, utilizing laser light distributed through waveguides as a light source for AR and VR display solutions. Before founding VitreaLab, he worked in world-leading integrated-optics groups, including MIT, Istituto di Fotonica e Nanotecnologie in Italy, and Universität Rostock in Germany. After 5 years of technical development, his company now offers ultra-bright light engines for smart glasses.

Bruce Elliott is the General Manager of N. America Sales for Semiconductor Integrated Technology (‘Sidtek’) Co. LTD.  Sidtek is located in Wuhu City and specializes in micro-OLED design and manufacturing.  Sidtek is quickly expanding micro-OLED production capacity to address the rapidly growing demand of AR/VR/MR products.  Bruce has more than three decades of experience in the display industry starting with design engineering roles and progressing to sales and leadership roles.  

Gary Jones

Gary Jones is a serial entrepreneur active over 40 years in the development and commercialization of technologies including semiconductor and display microstructures and nanostructures, electron/proton optics, and photonics. Gary is presently CEO of Nanoquantum Sciences, which has developed the highest-brightness, near-IR diagnostic materials for imaging enhancement. Gary was the founder of eMagin Corporation (acquired by Samsung in 2023), the first company to demonstrate full-color video AMOLED displays and develop AR/VR commercial headsets utilizing OLED microdisplays, freeform optics, head tracking, and VR control software. He has published over 75 papers, holds over 80 patents, and received a SID Special Recognition Award for entrepreneurial leadership. Gary sits on several privately held company boards and is the Program Chair for SID Display Week 2024.
